The Weekly Review - How to continually make progress towards your goals

Most successful people that I've studied or read about have a similar practice: they review their weekly performance against their goals and plan their next week accordingly.

Do you practice a weekly review?

If so, great! I'd love to hear about how you review your week.

If you don't, here are simple steps to get started.

  1. Look at your calendar. How much time did you spend on your priorities?
  2. What other items got added to your calendar that are not your priorities, but someone else's. Why and how did that happen?
  3. What time chunks can you block next week to make progress on your goals.
  4. Are your priorities clear? Do they have metrics? If not, spend some time to clarify your priorities.

If you don't have clear priorities, or if everything is a priority, then you'll never make progress on what's truly important.

Even gradual progress on an important goal is very rewarding and energizing.

Full speed ahead!
